Broke Jumpers and Man Boobs

You know, between avoiding Kujo in the front yard (the wolf-bear-lion mix of a dog with .5 ears that prowls our property and belongs to Babushka) and winning Euroleague titles - I have found some time to browse the offerings of youtube. Not that this should come as a surprise to anybody who has spend time on my blog.... Anyways - I was directed at this video by several people...and I figure a lot of initial reaction was that I would fly into some sort of defensive bra burning feminist fury. Nah. This junk is funny. I think actually - I think I'm flattered? Yes. Name recognition is pretty sick when it comes from some scrubs with broke jumpers and man boobs. And who said the WNBA isn't marketable. We're reaching all sorts of demographics. I must give credit where its due though - clever stuff.

As a male WNBA fan, I have to admit I get a little ribbing from some of my friends, but it's basically the same played out trash talk. At least this guy used graphics, I'm all about the graphics.

Good for you for having a sense of humor about it, and after I got done rolling my eye's again at yet another attempt to dis' the league I had visions running around in my head of you running around those three dudes making them looks like like the couch potatoes they are as they huff and puff trying to keep up with you.............now that is funny! My partner and I would pay good money to see that; well if we had it (-;

A good half-time entertaining event when the Mercury come up to Seattle, but I bet they would not have the guts to go up against you, even if it was 3 against 1. I wouldn't blame them, not many men would be man enough to step up to the basket with you or any other baller in the league.

Holy schnikes, that was hilarious! Of course, the title of the page is definitely one to grab one's attention. ;-) It's great that you have a sense of humour about this, because there have been some squabbles and inappropriate remarks over on the YouTube comments page. But what else is new?

This is almost like the Paul Shirley video entitled "Make it Rain (Bricks)." Apparently, Paul Shirley is the worst player on NBA Live or any of these other games. I cracked up at that one as well.

My daughter would drive from the Cape to Hartford to watch UConn (and you) play ... girls play basketball .... your response could not have been more appropriate ... every young lady in the WNBA should enjoy every minute of their career ... HC
