  Thanks for writing this blog Dee! There's so many people here in the US that are not registered voters, but want to complain when things don't go the way they want them too. I always tell people, that their vote could be the one that makes a difference. I can't wait until Nov. 4th... Obama 08!

      But on a serious note. Some aspects of this election is getting out of hand. I think this political race is really showing how "some" people are really thinking in terms of having an African American president or maybe even black people in general.
      I'm really disgusted by a lot of the things that people are saying. Especially about the whole "obama being a muslim thing". They are saying it like being muslim is a bad thing IF her WERE a muslim. True some crazy ass muslims did horrible things BUT we can't blame an entire religion on a few crazy ass nutbags. Thats like me hating all white people because of what they did to my ancestors during slavery. NOTE....I DO NOT HATE WHITE PEOPLE!!!! I just wish that we could come together and just make positive changes.

I am not African American, but it still bothers me when people tell me "America is not ready for a black president." I was raised knowing that people are people, no matter the race, religion, sexual orientation. Everyone is equal. What does the color of his skin or religious preference have to do with his abilities to lead this country? It makes me mad that they assume he is a HORRIBLE man just because he does not salute the flag. I don't salute the flag. Am I a horrible person? less of an American? No... Everyone is different, it is time that we start accepting everyone for who they are, and STOP discriminating. I think Obama will be a GREAT president.

  It's awesome to see so many popular celebs and sports figures getting behind a candidate and encouraging people to vote. I gotta second what you say about people who live right where they vote having no excuse. I'm in the Army stationed in Germany, and I've mailed my absentee ballot all ready. It is time for Change. Most important for people.... VOTE, no matter who you support, just vote, get involved, and don't complain if you didn't vote.

  That's awesome though, you're really encouraging individuals to get out there and vote, and this is one of the most important elections in the history of the United States, seriously. If only I could vote now (I turn 18 in April), I would most definitely do so.
