We Are the CHAMPIONS!
I'm still feeling it. Straight bliss. I've won a lot of championships in my time. This was special. This is the highest level of hoop in the world. Did you see my girl Cappie? Man, she's such a baller. This girl is going to be so good. She already is so good. She's going to be one of the great ones. Tweety is a beast, a proven winner, and Cappie didn't back down. She shined. That really showed me something. She has heart to go with the talent. It felt even better beating Detroit. I wouldn't have want to win my first W chip against any other squad. I love those girs. They can ball, they have edge, some arrogance, a crazy coach. I'm glad we had to go through them. Plus, now I have braggin' rights on Swin. Ha Ha. This feels so good. Am I oozing glee right now or what? I feel like a new person, like I'm official now. Check this out. Here are the top five reasons why winning a WNBA title changes my life: 5. More Money! What, you think I don't want to be paid? Nothing brings the dough like winning. Maybe now I can get that Gatorade endorsement. Hook it up, Peyton! 4. Because Paul Westhead might bounce to the NBA. This is not a good thing for me, as playing under coach has been one of the best experiences of my life. But I got to play in a system, under a coach, that really helped me expand my game. I'm a more complete player now. Plus, that system is so fun. 3. I no longer have to worry about pullin' a Charles Barkley. Keep off that best-player-to-never-win-a-title list. More than anything, I want to go down as a winner, a champion. I've won in college. I've won overseas. I've won gold medals. Winning in the W is all I was missing. 2. We gave Mercury fans, some of the most loyal in the WNBA, what they desperately wanted. Few things feel better than satisfying your home crowd. They supported us through some tough years and struggling times. It's a major accomplishment to deliver a title to the city of Phoenix. 1. I got to be a part of lifting the league to a new level. That was one of the best Finals ever. The ratings were up this year in the playoffs, and we treated fans to a helluva series. Anyone who watched had to be entertertained. We have a new TV deal now. Hopefully this is the start of something big for the league.

Now that you have all the trophies and medals...you might want to think about getting one as a coach in the future. What do you say?? But...now go get the gold in Chile. GOOD LUCK!!

Congrats again, Diana. I hope that this is the start of great things for the league. This season/playoffs were amazing! I can't wait for the day when I can watch more WNBA games on TV. On to the next level...
