The Steelers have a clear need at inside linebacker and Eric Kendricks, one of the league's most consistent players at the position, was just released. Should Pittsburgh attempt to sign the veteran in free agency?
Depending on the price, the team should consider it with the number of holes they must fill this offseason.
Oh wow the Steelers should 1000% look to free agency again to address off ball linebacker

They only have 4 shots in the top 80 and have 5 legit holes. Develop a late rounder like Robinson behind a signing https://t.co/g20E1zJBxh
Linebackers Devin Bush and Robert Spillane are both impending free agents, leaving Myles Jack and Mark Robinson left to start.
However, whether or not the Steelers lose both players, they still need to address the position after their group combined for one sack and zero interceptions, forced fumbles or fumble recoveries in 2022.
Kendricks arguably had a better season than Pittsburgh's entire inside linebacker group after posting 137 tackles, one sack, one fumble recovery and six passes defensed.
He is 31 years old leaving some questioning how much football he has left in him. But if the Steelers can land Kendricks and another linebacker later in the draft, they'll be set up for 2023 and beyond.
Pittsburgh has four picks in the top 80 of the 2023 NFL Draft, and with an important offseason ahead, Kendricks would allow the Steelers to put more focus on other positions of need.
